‘There are literally millions of undiscovered artists out there in dance music who will simply never get a chance’, says Mark EG. After twenty years in the game, DJing and producing various forms of new music, Mark recently took over at Core as MD and realised he suddenly had a powerful platform to be able to showcase undiscovered artists and could perhaps help give someone a break who otherwise might never have got a chance. ‘After I made a Facebook post asking for Soundcloud links to find these people and write about them, I was blown away when I received hundreds of links in one evening. But as someone who has a busy non-stop life full of music, I needed to put a filter in place first.’

‘That’s when this idea hit me and it’s where the great listening public can actually help us out on our search’, he says. ‘Artists upload their Soundcloud links freely into the system and the public vote. My prediction is that before long we will start to see the very best music rise to the top - especially if we all start to share the best tracks we hear via our social networks. At the end of the process we will then have a clear Top 10 in each category and that’s where us guys will step in. With a credible panel of expert industry professionals we’ll be offering something invaluable, something that doesn’t often come along to 99% of people – a break. The chance to make a lifetime out of music, that perhaps you might never have got.’

You see there will be a lot up for grabs here. All the winners will be interviewed with full-length interviews in the main magazine. The Winners from each category will get to speak to the panel, who will able to guide them and give tips at how they made it within the industry. All the judging will be documented for all to see, so all the expert feedback will be gold for everyone. There will be club DJ sets, record deals, professional photo shoots, mastering sessions and studio time – all dependent on category. But more importantly the winners will have ‘Winner of Core’s You’ve Got Talent’ on their musical CV, which will stand you apart immediately and give you a step up in this cutthroat game we call music. That’s got to be invaluable.

Our mission is to share our passion for music - to discover new talent and share further.
